SANAC Issue Paper #10

ISSUE: Attempt to share noise between communities.

BACKGROUND: Issue assigned to the Air Traffic Control Subcommittee on May 12, 1998.

ANALYSIS/DISCUSSION: Group discussed that noise should not be moved from one area so as to impact another area.  We should continue to find ways to reduce the noise.

CONCLUSIONS: The commissioning of the ISL27R should help to direct more arrival traffic over the less populated areas of eastern Seminole County.

RECOMMENDATIONS: This subcommittee recommends that SANAC adopt a policy that it will not cause another community to be impacted by aircraft noise as a result of attempting to reduce noise in one community.
