Pan Am to begin service between Orlando Sanford and Allentown,
PA

Orlando Sanford International Airport welcomes new service on Pan
American Airways (Pan Am) between Orlando/Sanford and Allentown,
PA. Pan Am will offer daily
non-stop service to Allentown, PA via the Lehigh Valley International Airport
beginning Monday, January 8, 2001.
The Lehigh Valley International Airport serves a population base of 2.4 million people who live within 40 miles of the airport. This region includes northern New Jersey and the northern suburban areas of Philadelphia. In addition, center city Philadelphia is within 50 miles, and the Newark and New York markets are within a 1 hour 30 minute drive. The Allentown-Bethlehem-Easton, PA area is located in the heart of the northeast corridor of Pennsylvania. With its multitude of colleges, universities and several fortune 500 corporations, the Lehigh Valley is known for its business friendly environment, high quality of life and diverse economy.

Flights will depart Allentown at 9:20 a.m. and arrive
in Sanford at 11:30 a.m. Return
service will depart Sanford at 4:00 p.m. and arrive in Allentown at 6:20
p.m.
Orlando Sanford International Airport will provide scheduled
passenger service on Pan Am to Allentown, PA; Bangor, ME; Boston/Portsmouth;
Chicago/Gary; and MidAmerica St. Louis.
All scheduled
service will use Pan Am's Boeing 727-200 reconfigured Clipper Class
aircraft. Reservations can be
