The grand opening of A. Kay Shoemaker Terminal took place June 1, 1995. More than 1,000 community, government and tourist-industry leaders celebrated the Airport's "Passage to a New Era." This facility, adjacent to the domestic passenger terminal, creates the finest and most convenient combination of U.S. Customs and International Tour and Travel Services available today. Constructed under a privatization initiative between the Authority and OSI, the modern complex offers holiday-makers effortless processing on arrival and departure, and every convenience in between.
